About the event
Please join me for a class that targets your Nervous System with the intention of bringing it back to baseline.
Our Nervous System is the key to so much of our healing work. There are many things that can disregulate our NS, including experiencing trauma (second hand trauma is real), living in an unsafe environment, unremembered childhood trauma, being exposed to constant judgment/criticism, and so much more. Often, a missing piece of healing work, or why we feel we can't heal, is directly related to a disregulated Nervous System.
Our Nervous System has different states and is meant to oscilate between the states as a survival mechanism. The problem is, our NS can get stuck in a state, or enter a state that isn't actually needed or helpful.
Our NS has the Fight state, making us ready to take action.
We have our Flight state, making us ready to run.
We have our Freeze/Immobilization state, making us stop and "play dead".
Some ways to know if your Nervous System is out of wack:
Anxiety and panic attacks
Lack of motivation
Unable to complete minor day to day tasks
Always on high alert to your surroundings
Emotions are easily triggered
High heart rate, faster breathing, sweating, dry mouth, muscle tension
Urgency for unurgent tasks
Easily find yourself yelling at others, shaming, outbursts, etc.
Misreading other people's tone, words, etc.
The society we live in has not made for healthy Nervous Systems. We are overstimulated. Becoming aware of how to regulate our NS is a powerful thing.
During our time together we will explore different NS regulation techniques.
We take a strong focus on the vagus nerve and practices that can help us release stored trauma from our body and soothe our NS.
What will a session look like?
We will begin each session with a body scan to better understand what is happening in our bodies and to better read it's signals.
Expect to do a combination of very gentle movement techniques, breathwork and meditation practices.
Please note, this is not a yoga class.
This is a 6 class series.

Please note, you must register for the entire series. Classes are not open to individual drop in.
